Transurethral prostatectomy

Transurethral prostate resection has largely replaced radical (transabdominal) prostatectomy and is burdened by fewer post-surgical complications than the latter. Late complications include erectile dysfunction (3-35%) and retrograde ejaculation (up to 50%) which occur less frequently than with radical prostatectomy.
